Impaction Surgery

Impaction of teeth ,is the failure of teeth to erupt into the dental arch within the expected time. The reasons for tooth impaction include position and size of adjacent teeth, dense overlying bone, excessive soft tissue or a genetic abnormality including abnormal eruption path, dental arch length and space in which to erupt.

Types:

Clinically and radiographically, there are two types of impactions namely complete and partial. Al Shamil medical centre is treating both of them with the highly professional staff.

Time:

The entire surgery usually takes about 30 to 60 minutes. If your teeth are fully impacted and buried deep within your gums or jawbone, it might be harder for your surgeon to remove them than if they’ve broken through the gum.
